Description
Pop a bag of microwave popcorn or use part of a package of popped corn from your supermarket. Great as a hostess gift!

Directions
Heat oven to 300 degrees. Remove all unpopped kernels from popped popcorn. Combine popcorn, cereal, pretzels and pecans in a large baking or roasting pan.
Mix brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup in a medium saucepan. Cook and stir with a wooden spoon over medium heat till mixture boils. Reduce heat to medium low and cook without stirring for 5 minutes more.
Remove pan from heat. Stir in pumpkin pie spice, baking soda, vanilla and red pepper. Pour over popcorn mixture in pan, stirring gently to coat. Bake for 15 minutes. Stir mixture; bake for 5 minutes longer. Spread caramel mixture on a large piece of buttered foil to cool and break into pieces. Store tightly covered up to one week. makes about 8 cups.

Ingredients
4 cups popped corn
2 cups bite-sized wheat or bran square cereal
1 1/2 cups small pretzels or pretzel sticks
1 1/2 cups pecan halves
3/4 cup brown sugar
6 T. butter, no substitution
3 T. light corn syrup
1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. vanilla
Dash of ground red pepper
