Description
This is a great dish for a crowd or potluck.
|
Directions
Clean the chicken the night before and season with 2 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper, and 1 tsp. garlic salt. Combine all other ingredients except the sherry and cherries. Mix and pour over chicken; cover with foil and bake at 325 degrees for 2 hours. The last 15 minutes of baking, add the wine and the drained cherries. (The same amount of sauce can be used for more chicken.)

5-6 pounds of chicken parts - your favorites
Salt and pepper and garlic salt
1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup water
2 medium sliced onions
1/2 cup raisins
1 (12 oz. ) jar chili sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 T. worcestershire sauce
1 cup sherry
1 (16 oz.) can drained Bing cherries
