This makes a great snack, cracker consistency used with a white fish dinner or chowder. Probably want to halve this recipe.

Heat oven to 400F

Cream sugar and shortening, add buttermilk in which soda has been dissolved. Stir in remaining ingredients. Roll thin and slice in diamond shape with pizza cutter or knife. Bake on cookie sheets about 10 minutes.

v 1 cup shortening
v 3/4 cup sugar
v 3 cup sour milk or buttermilk
v 1.5 tsp baking soda
v 1 tsp baking powder
v 1 cup oatmeal
v 3 cup graham flour
v 1 cup all bran
v 1 tsp salt
v 4 cup flour
