No-Knead Whole Wheat Bread submitted by Mom Johnson |
|
|
Description
Even if you've never baked bread before, try this recipe. The loaf is dense, moist and easy-to-slice. (Recipe is on the back of the King Arthur whole wheat flour bag!)
|
Directions
Thoroughly grease a bread pan. (This step is important as the bread will rise and bake in the same pan, and tends to stick.
Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and beat the mixture for about 3 minutes (Use an electric mixer on high speed). Scoop out the soft dough into the prepared pan.
Cover the pan with a lightly greased piece of plastic wrap and let it rise for about 90 minutes or until "puffy".
Bake the bread in a preheated 350 degree oven for 30-35 minutes, tenting it with foil after 15 minutes to prevent over-browning. Remove from oven when loaf is golden brown and let it set for 5 minutes before turning out of pan. Cool completely before slicing.
