Description
This was one of my Dad's favorite cookies....tender, crunchy, and melts in your mouth!

Directions
Combine first 4 ingredients and beat well. Add eggs and beat again. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Roll 1-inch balls of dough and place on cookie sheet. Flatten with the bottom of a glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Makes 4-5 dozen.

1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup butter
1 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
4 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla
