Blackberry Sauce for BBQ'd Ribs submitted by Mom Johnson |
Description
BBQ your favorite spareribs - slather with this glaze and top with additional fresh berries and fresh mint! (I usually double this recipe.)
Directions
In a food processor or blender, whirl the berries, catsup, honey, brown sugar, ginger, salt and pepper. Whirl until the berries are pureed. Add 1-2 tsp. hot sauce to taste. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and microwave at full power, stirring occasionally until berry mixture is reduced to 1 1/3 cups, about 8 minutes. (Or cook on stovetop until reduced.) Makes about 1 1/3 cups.
