   Flaskkarre submitted by Mom Johnson
A Scandinavian recipe from the Swedish Farmhouse restaurant in Lake Tahoe which no longer exists! (From the daughter of the original owner, Ann.)

Have the butcher prepare roast for stuffing. Stuff with a mixture of the dried fruit and fresh apple slices. Rub outside of the meat with salt and pepper. Roast in a 300 degree oven, uncovered for about 1 1/2 hours or till lightly browned. Remove from oven, score meat in a cross-hatch design and stud with whole cloves. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Add 2 cups water to the bottom of the roasting pan. Cover and return to the oven for 1 hour. Serve meat in 1-inch slices topped with the gravy left in pan.
