This is a classic dip for BBQ'd chicken! From my friend Sharon!
In a small saucepan, add the sugar, vinegar and water. Cook and stir till sugar is dissolved. Add the chile, white radish, if using, garlic and the chopped coriander. Simmer for a few minutes. Add the salt and stir to combine. Let cool before serving in small dishes for dipping.
1/4 cup plus 2T. sugar
1/4 cup white vinegar
2 T. water
2T. finely chopped red, medium-hot chile
2 T. pickled white radish (optional)
2 T. chopped garlic
1 T. scraped and finely chopped fresh coriander (cilantro)
1/4 tsp. salt
