Apple Dessert submitted by Julie Waterbury
Delicious apple dessert that my mom made and is yummy with gravenstein apples. I think it was a Betty Crocker bake off winner a long time ago.

Roll out pastry into a rectangle, cut into strips 1 inch
wide as long as the rectangle. Cut up the apples into quarters and wrap each piece of apple in pastry. Place in square 9x9 cake pan 1/2 inch apart. Pour melted butter over all the pieces
Mix the next two ingredients and sprinkle over pieces
Pour the water around the pieces of pastry-covered
Bake at 425 for 20 minutes until brown and crispy
Serve with vanilla ice cream

v Pastry for a pie
v 3 medium apples
v 1/2 cup melted butter
v 1/2 cup of sugar
v 1 tsp. cinnamon
v 1/2 cup of water
