Chocolate Cherry Bars submitted by Mom Johnson
Description
One of my Dad's favorite desserts! Super moist, quick and easy....

Directions
Heat oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9x13 inch cake pan with PAM. Mix all bar ingredients in a large bowl and stir until well-blended. Spread into greased pan and bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean. In a small saucepan, combine sugar, milk and butter. Bring to a boil and boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips, stirring until smooth. Pour frosting over warm bars. Cool completely and cut into bars.

v Bars:
v 1 box Duncan Hines chocolate cake mix
v 1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
v 1 tsp. almond extract
v 2 eggs, beaten
v Frosting:
v 1 cup sugar
v 1/3 cup milk
v 5 T. butter
v 1 cup chocolate chips
