You may add !/2 cup Bailey's Irish Cream, or 1/2 cup Kahlua to make this a Mudslide. Or omit the espresso powder or use decaffeinated espresso powder for the little ones.

Directions
Whisk together the first 4 ingredients in a large saucepan. Cook, whisking constantly, over medium-high heat until sugar dissolves. Whisk in the milk and cook until very hot, but do not boil. Whisk in the vanilla. Pour into mugs and top with whipped cream and drizzle with chocolate syrup.
